Description Pierre Ossman cendio 2012-12-13 10:22:21 CET
We've had several requests over the year for adding support for a license server to ThinLinc. The common use case is that the customer has many small clusters with limited use, or limited life times (e.g. only used for a single project).

There are existing third party license servers that we could integrate against (e.g. FlexLM), or we could write our own server.

This would be a nice to have feature. If we had this we could install thinlinc master/agents all over the place. Please keep the license model <user>@<client>.

Note that this can be achieved in some cases by using our subcluster feature.

Another existing server to look at for behaviour is Intel's Software License Manager that is used for their development tools.
