Based on present EULA layout and directions given in bug 8155, the format of the document should exhibit

* 2 lines preceding a new section
* 1 line preceding a new subsection
* 8 characters reserved for (sub)section numbering
* Maximum row length of 72
* CRLF (DOS format) line terminators

Note that we do not alter the information regarding 10 free licenses, even though this has been reduced to a default of 3 (see bug 8599). ThinLinc is still technically free to use up to 10 licenses, but one must actively acquire the package of 10 free licenses from a different source.

The EULA has updated to reflect the new US/SE-based licensor arrangement.

Confirmed that
    • All lines are terminated by CRLF
    • Spelling checks out
    • The format is consistent with previous EULA releases

In addition, I’ve read through the content in detail and can confirm that Cendio is indeed replaced by Licensor where applicable, and the two different licensors – Cendio AB and ThinLinc USA Inc. – are clearly differentiated and defined.

The document is marked by a ”Last updated” line, instead of a version number following the very first line. Although minor corrections were required in the document, this date is not updated, as it should probably refer to legal changes – not missing periods or such.

These minor corrections include

    • The introductory paragraph ”This License Agreement … ” missed a paranthesis for the string ”(for free licenses and licenses acquired from Cendio AB)”. In addition, the whole sentence ended with a comma; replaced this with regular period.
    • Section 1.7: ”Used Lincecees” should be ”Used Linceses”
    • Section 4.4: missed punctuation prior to ”LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT … ”
    • Section 5.1: replaced the comma before the string ”PROVIDED THAT IF THE LICENSEE HAS NOT PAID ANY FEES TO THE LICENSOR, THEN THE MAXIMUM AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE LICENSOR PARTIES IS $250.00.” with a regular period, as this is a completely new sentence that read very strangely if comma spliced.
    • Section 8.5: replaced bullet point characters with regular hyphens to avoid any problems with special character interpretations.

The brand new bulleted list was added with indentations that I thought made sense.

> MUST:
> * The EULA must differentiate between US and SE based licensors in all the right places
✅ It does.
> * The EULA must display a proper "Last updated" date
✅ It does -- referring to the date when any legal changes might have been made (not format and language issues).
> * The EULA must maintain the layout from previous releases
✅ It does.

To reduce the amount of confusion that may arise, it was decided that the EULA should stipulate 3 free concurrent users, since this is the technical limit one encounters by default.

Looks good.

Yes, this is clear.

> * The EULA must display a proper "Last updated" date
It does.

> * The EULA must maintain the layout from previous releases
The line breaks or other layout-related things were not changed.

I verified that the new EULA from build 4116 looks correct in both text-mode and GUI-mode on Fedora 41.
