None of the application icons we add show up in the menu on SLES 12. The files have been installed to /usr/local/share/applications though.

This is a bit problematic as we often refer to finding e.g. ThinLinc Setup in the menu.

Downgrading the severity. They show up after restarting the session. So there is an update that isn't triggering properly.

We are not running the latest version of xdg-utils, so the first step could be to try if this is fixed upstream.

Due to changes on bug 7183, we are not using xdg-utils since build 5976. With that build, I can no longer reproduce the problem.

I have verified that this is no longer a problem on SLES 15. I have tested new installs and upgrades from 4.8.1 to nightly. Tested both client and server packages.
