I think that defining profiles by the means of Hiveconf should be implemented

Not for 1.3.

Closing this bug can be done after:

1) Implementing support in client for choosing between the two alternatives.
2) Implementing support in vsmserver and vsmagent for receiving the option,
transfer it to vsmagent and make sure vsmagent sets the environment variable

This is interesting from an architecture point of view. A normal local login picks the profile before the session starts, not during the startup. This difference compared to ThinLinc has caused some problems for us historically.

We might also want to combine this with the choice of sub-cluster once that gets added.
