Save file issue when using Windows client.

If I try to edit and save a file, shared from a Windows client, in Gedit in a session, it won't save and Gedit shows the warning message seen in the attached screenshot.

The same procedure works when I am using Vim and LibreOffice writer. Piping text directly to the file with e.g. 'echo "asd" >> test.txt' works just fine.

It also works with Gedit when the connecting from either a Linux client or a macOS client.

Comment 2 Alexander Zeijlon cendio 2024-01-24 16:59:41 CET
I verified that this behavior has been present for a while:

Server version:
* 4.16.0rc2
* 4.14.0

Client version:
* 4.16.0rc2
* 4.14.0

Client running on:
* Windows 10 (only client and server 4.14.0)
* Windows 11

Server running on:
* Ubuntu 20.04
* RHEL 9.3 (only client and server 4.16.0rc2)

The behavior remains the same.
