As highlighted in bug 7926, comment 58 the profile icons (the icon in the top-right corner of each entry in the profile list) do not behave as built-in symbolic icons in the sense that they are not theme aware.

This is mostly seen when selecting an entry. The background turns blue at this point, and the icon should turn white (like the text) to maintain good contrast.
