We have the main "index" page as the top node of the administrator's guide. However the actual table of contents is split out to a sub-document called just "toc". This was done to get a sane layout in the PDF version. Unfortunately this page shows up in search results, which is a bit confusing. Extra so because the page doesn't have a title so you just get "<no title>".
This was done so we wouldn't get the title (and subtitle) in the PDF version, as a different cover page is already generated there. However I tested the LaTeX version instead, and it doesn't have this issue. So this seems to be a problem specific to rst2pdf. I've reported it upstream: https://github.com/rst2pdf/rst2pdf/issues/1066
Managed to find a different fix using an extension instead. I don't see any hits for "toc" in the searches anymore.
Reproduced with the 4.14.0 TAG. I have done a side-to-side comparison of the 4.14.0 production and 4.14.0post development TAGs and the search no longer show results from the TOC, and there does not seem to be any regressions in terms of content and presentation in nether the web-based nor PDF TAGs. Marking as closed.
