On SLES12SP3, tl-fontcache dumps core if:

* Running as root
* There are no /var/cache/fontconfig/*-3

However, tlclient.bin works correctly and creates these files without dumping core.

Problem happens with 4.9.0 as well as 4.9.0post-5975.

So far this should only affect users running the client as root, or logging in to thinlinc as root. Hopefully that should be rare.

However it will be important to fix for bug 7278.
