Description Karl Mikaelsson cendio 2016-04-04 10:48:12 CEST
We've had requests for adding a silent installation for the ThinLinc client.

This would be beneficial for automating client installations.

NSIS already supports this by specifying the /S argument. So I guess we just need better documentation.

The TAG now has instructions for installing and upgrading the client silently. I tested the following on the Windows 11 machine in the lab:

1. That ThinLinc 4.18.0 can be installed silently (using the /S switch).

2. That ThinLinc 4.17.0 can be installed silently and then silently upgraded to 4.18.0.

3. That ThinLinc 4.17.0 can be installed in a non-standard directory and then silently upgraded to 4.18.0.

4. That ThinLinc 4.18.0 can be silently uninstalled using the same /S switch.

This is the behavior I densely tried to describe in the newly added section.

Looks good!

I also tested following the instructions on the Windows 10 machine in the lab, works as advertised.
