I got a supposed failure to start a session and in xinit.log I can find this:

Fri Jan 30 11:05:36 2015
 vncext:      VNC extension running!
 vncext:      vncExtInit: unable to create listening socket: Address already in
              use (98)

To make things worse Xvnc lives on so you have a stray session left running on the system.
