The problem is that we're using a DSSSL print stylesheet that actively discards link information. (doc/external/dsl/cendio.dsl inherits from /opt/cendio-build/arch/i386/usr/share/sgml/docbook/dsssl-stylesheets/print/docbook.dsl)
