Should probably just remove them. They are referenced directly in those cases where they are to be used by the administrator.

Not adding any release notes as this is documentation that shouldn't have been of interest for users.

There are still many mentions of the scripts under /opt/thinlinc/libexec/ in the TAG. This is likely a matter of further clarifying the acceptance criteria as many of these mentions make sense.

Right. The purpose was to avoid suggesting that they should be directly used by users or administrators. Hooking them up to ThinLinc via xstartup.d is still fine.

(although ideally such things would be controlled by configuration instead)

  No such implications are made throughout the TAG

• ☑ Commands that are not meant to be directly executed by the user or
  the administrator should not be mentioned in the documentation²
  
  All commands listed under bug 3070 have no mentions that imply
  that these should be run directly by the user. The exception being
  `hivetool', which has been broken out into bug 7873.
