Verified on RHEL6, nightly build, all updates. To reproduce:

* Start a new session in window mode

* Switch to full screen. I have two monitors and "all monitors" activated. 

* Switch back to window mode. 

Node, the desktop environment will show a window "Starting up file manager...". Then there's another one, and another one, etc...  dmesg shows:

If I de-select "full screen on all monitors", the problem does not happen. So it seems to be a problem when going from 2 to 1 monitors.
